A.R.T.S. , Inc. 41st Anniversary

The Fourth Annual Awards Gala, honoring some of Utah's most outstanding educators. A.R.T.S. Inc. honored teachers from throughout the state at the Grand America Hotel Imperial Ballroom in Salt Lake, the evening of Monday, February 3, 2003.

In celebration of their 42nd anniversary they scheduled this event on the calenders of both the Utah House of Representatives and the Utah Senate. With this gala Governor Michael O. Leavitt declared the week of February 2-8, 2003 as "Partners for Arts-In-Education Week" in Utah.

Since 1961, Artistic Resource for Teachers and Students, Inc., has sponsored education through the arts in elementary schools. This past year they were able to provide more than 600 programs reaching more than 175,000 children throughout the State of Utah. It is the aspiration of A.R.T.S., Inc. to provide educational arts programming that not only entertains but supports the state's core-curriculum in fine arts to all forty school districts.
